Digital Design implemented a comprehensive automation infrastructure focused on energy efficiency, operational control and system continuity at Metro Market stores operating in different cities across Türkiye.
Covering a total of 26 stores in Istanbul, Ankara, Adana, Muğla and Izmir, the project used Hager infrastructure to bring lighting automation, climate and mechanical system control and energy monitoring together within an integrated structure.
Designed with the stores’ large floor areas, different opening hours and high energy-use profiles in mind, the automation system enabled lighting and climate systems to be managed in a controlled way according to needs and operational scenarios. This made both user comfort and the optimisation of energy use and business processes central elements of the project.
The installed energy-monitoring infrastructure made electrical consumption in the stores trackable and analysable. It created a strong technical foundation for observing the energy performance of different systems, evaluating consumption patterns and supporting better energy-management decisions.
Spanning many stores and operations in different cities, the project became an important reference for Digital Design’s engineering and implementation capability in multi-site commercial projects, including site delivery, system integration and the standardisation of automation scenarios.
