Plan Core smart-home control with the panel, KNX infrastructure and room scenes

We assess Core control panels together with lighting, shading and climate requirements. For new homes and renovations, we review the infrastructure, control points and daily routines before defining the automation scope.

Choosing the right control panel begins with understanding which functions people need to control and how they use each room.

Integrated smart living

Lighting, shading, climate and security work as one intuitive experience.

A home becomes genuinely smart when every system follows the same simple interface and the routines of the people who live there.

01

Touch room control

Control panels such as Core Eclipse can bring frequently used room functions into one interface; the panel position and room needs are considered together.

02

Coordination with KNX infrastructure

Panel, actuator and climate connections are checked against the selected models' technical documentation. KNX support does not make every device automatically compatible.

03

Project-specific scenes

The lights, shades and climate zones involved in arrival, night and away scenes are defined during project design.

Core system scope

Choose the panel through infrastructure, room functions and daily use.

The panel is the visible part of a Core smart-home project. KNX infrastructure, panels and actuators, lighting and shading circuits, climate connections, panel positions and user scenes should be assessed as one system.

01

New villas and homes

For projects planning electrical and automation infrastructure around panel locations and room scenes from the outset.

02

Existing homes and renovations

For owners who want to understand a practical Core scope while assessing the current panel, cabling and KNX installation.

03

Architectural and electrical teams

For teams defining where the touch panel sits, how it looks and which functions it controls before installation.

01

Infrastructure review

Panels, KNX lines, controlled loads, climate equipment and proposed control points are reviewed through the project documents.

02

Panel and scene planning

Room functions, controls and arrival, night or away scenes are defined around the users' routines.

03

Programming and handover

Compatible equipment is integrated, scenes are tested on site and the operating logic is explained at handover.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about the solution

Does a Core panel create a smart-home system on its own?

No. The panel is a user interface; controlled loads also require suitable modules, communications infrastructure and programming. The scope depends on the installation.

Can Core be added to an existing KNX project?

It may be possible after the panel model, existing project file and required functions are reviewed. Model and software compatibility must be confirmed first.

Which functions can be shown on the panel?

Functions can include lighting, shading and climate where the selected model and project infrastructure support them. The final set is defined for each room.

What should I provide for a first assessment?

Architectural or electrical plans, the project stage, current automation information and the functions required in each room are enough to start defining the scope.
