Clear answers about smart living technologies.
Before choosing products, we answered the most common questions about infrastructure, usage and project scope.

What to know before starting your project.
If your answer is not here, share the current state of your project and we will clarify the workable options together.
01What areas does Digital Design work in?+
We work on smart home and building automation, lighting, curtain and shutter control, architectural switches and sockets, professional audio systems, multi-room music and home cinema projects. Engineering, product selection, infrastructure, implementation, programming and commissioning are all carried out under a single team’s responsibility.
02What can be controlled with a smart home system?+
Lighting, curtains and shutters, heating and cooling, security, door access, music, television, home cinema and outdoor lighting can all be managed on the same infrastructure. Control is available through architectural switches, touch panels, phone or tablet.
03What is a multimedia system?+
It is an integrated setup where the television, projection, audio system, music sources and control components work in harmony. Lighting, curtains and climate can also join this setup, enabling one-touch scenes such as movie, music or relaxation.
04Can different rooms play different music?+
Yes. With a multi-room music system, each area’s source and volume can be managed independently. While the living room plays the television audio, the kitchen and the garden can play different content at the same time.
05What does a home cinema room require?+
The screen or projection, speaker placement, electronics, room acoustics, lighting, curtain control, seating layout and automation must be planned together. A balanced result comes not just from powerful devices, but from matching these parts correctly to the space.
06What matters when choosing switches and sockets?+
Beyond design, evaluate material quality, finish, colour, mounting style and compatibility with the automation infrastructure. Choosing finishes such as metal, glass, wood and porcelain together with the furniture, wall and lighting palette gives a more unified result.
07Can decorative switches be used with a smart home system?+
Many architectural switches and control panels can work together with automation. A single key can carry multiple tasks such as lighting, curtains and music. The compatibility between the product and the automation protocol should be confirmed at the project stage.
08Can a smart home system be added to an existing house?+
Yes. Depending on the existing electrical infrastructure, cabling and the renovation limits, wired, wireless or hybrid solutions can be used. After a technical survey, we clarify which functions can be implemented and to what extent.
09Does the system keep working when the internet goes down?+
In professionally engineered systems, the core in-home functions work independently of the internet. Remote access may pause during an outage, while switches, panels and local scenes keep working. An uninterruptible power solution can also be planned for critical network and automation equipment.
10How are project cost and the implementation process determined?+
The size of the building, the functions to be controlled, the chosen infrastructure and brands, the switch series, the audio-video scope and the existing cabling determine the cost. After the first meeting and, if needed, a technical survey, a project-specific scope and proposal are prepared.
